The ‘Unfair Competition Act’ protects business enterprises against competition offences by their competitors, e.g. misleading advertising, derogatory or untrue statements about other business enterprises and the exploitation of the distinctive marks of third parties. Business enterprises, business enterprise associations and consumer associations can apply for an injunction against behaviour which contravenes competition legislation.
For us, competition law is one of the most important disciplines in the protection of industrial property. We will help you or your business enterprise by checking your advertising or brand concepts. The avoidance of disputes is one of our main aims. However, if a dispute cannot be avoided, we will obviously represent your interests before the courts, for example with regard to making or defending against claims relating to injunctions, information and compensation within the context of competition law or the filing of protective letters.
